IntelliTrac Sponsor Australian Dylan Young in MRF Challange
1 October 2015: Melbourne Australia
IntelliTrac, Australia’s leading telematics provider is proud to support Aussie F1 hopeful Dylan Young in the 2015 MRF Challenge in Dubai and Bahrain. The MRF Challenge is considered to be the fastest single seater events across Asia & the Middle East.
CEO and Founder of IntelliTrac, Dean Calapai said “We are honored to be supporting Dylan in his motorsport career and his ambitions to progress to Formula One racing. It would be absolutely fabulous to help Dylan realise his dreams and see another Aussie along side other Australian Formula One greats such as Daniel Ricciardo“
“Dylan's dedication, persistence and tenacity in achieving his dreams really shone through, which resulted in IntelliTrac entering its first foray in motorsport sponsorship” said Dean Calapai
Dylan Young is one of only a handful of Australian racing drivers competing internationally on the pathway to F1 whilst being a leading representative from Melbourne, having grown up within a stones throw from the Albert Park F1 Circuit.
Dylan took up racing in karts at the relatively late age of 17 back in 2007 before he made the step up into single-seaters. Dylan raced in the Formula BMW Pacific Championship, following in the exact same footsteps as current Australian Red Bull F1 star Daniel Ricciardo who also kick started his international career through Asia in Formula BMW Pacific.
After competing at some of Formula 1's most prestigious Grand Prix support events since 2010 and most recently racing two seasons in the fastest one make single-seater Championship across Asia and the Middle East (the MRF Challenge Formula 2000 Championship), Young has now been targeted by some of Europe's leading race teams, including Formula 1 teams with affiliated GP3 teams.
Despite facing budget issues early in his career, Dylan has made the most of his opportunities, outclassing some of the worlds best international talent to podium finishes at Formula 3 level in the MRF Challenge Championship.
Young was invited to test with the official junior team partner of the Sahara Force India Formula 1 Team in their GP3 car at the Yas Marina F1 Circuit in November, 2014. After a successful debut test, Young is now focusing on a move into the GP3 Series which races alongside the Formula 1 World Championship.
Dylan will aim to combine a GP3 campaign alongside another stint in the MRF Challenge Championship in 2015 to prepare him for Formula 1 or similar global elite racing categories such as IndyCar or the FIA World Endurance Championship.
