Apply the rules for each operating area

Set site speed limits and review speeding, harsh braking and cornering. Compatible Elite installations can also monitor seatbelt and 4WD inputs against configured conditions, so your team can investigate the specific exception.

Know who was behind the wheel

Use an RFID card or key fob to identify the driver at the vehicle. Bring that identity into journey and driving-event reviews, including when several people share a site vehicle across shifts.

Beyond mobile coverage

Mobile black spots do not have to mean paper forms. With the task and form loaded in Fleet Mobile, crews can save supported entries on their device and submit them when a connection returns.

Capture the condition while you are at the vehicle.

Complete loaded inspections and custom forms with answers, photos and signatures. Saved submissions stay on the device while offline. After reconnection, the app sends the details and attachments for review; any item needing attention remains visible.

Keep the journey plan with the crew.

Give drivers their assigned journey plan and break reminders before departure. Supported break and job updates can be saved offline for later submission. A pending update is clearly separate from one the office has received, so supervisors know which information has arrived.

Remote locations and SOS

For compatible Elite installations, an Iridium satellite connection can carry configured SOS, crash and rollover alerts when cellular coverage is unavailable. Match the device, antenna, alert inputs and satellite service to the site, and agree who receives and responds to each alert.

Add Iridium to a compatible Elite installation

IntelliTrac Extend uses Iridium Edge hardware to provide a satellite path for critical location and event messages. Add it to a compatible IT300 or EP23 Elite installation with the SOS inputs your crew needs. Confirm the installation and alert delivery before deployment.

Consider Direct to Cell as support becomes available

For new installations, discuss EP26 Elite and Starlink Direct to Cell. Availability depends on support for the device, carrier plan and required tracking or alert service. Confirm those functions for your deployment before relying on this connection for remote SOS.

Compatible UHF SOS pendants connect back through the fitted vehicle receiver. Plan their operating range around the task. If a crew member will be beyond that range, choose a suitable personal satellite device and response service for the journey.

Your questions

WhatWhat youyou needneedtoto know.know.

An in-vehicle monitoring system connects fitted devices to fleet software. IntelliTrac can bring together location, journeys, driver identity and supported speeding or harsh-driving events. Compatible installations add inputs such as seatbelt status, 4WD engagement, engine data and SOS. Your vehicle and site requirements determine the configuration.

Yes. Configure geofences for operating areas and the associated monitoring rules. Compatible Elite installations support site speeding and configured input events. Agree thresholds, durations and recipients for the site before deployment.

Fleet Mobile can save supported inspections, custom form submissions, attachments and journey or job updates on the device. Load the required task and form before entering a black spot. The app can retry pending submissions after reconnection; the office sees an update once it has been received. Entries needing review remain visible.

No. Saving an app entry offline does not transmit an alert. Remote SOS needs a compatible communications setup, such as a configured Elite installation with an Iridium satellite connection, or a suitable personal satellite device. Agree the recipients and response process for that service.

The documented IT300 and EP23 Elite configuration supports optional Iridium satellite communications and SOS inputs. IntelliTrac Extend uses Iridium Edge hardware for critical tracking and event messages. Compatibility, available ports, antenna placement, service and alert configuration need to be checked for each installation. This is not an add-on for Easy or Edge ES810 devices.

Discuss EP26 Elite and Direct to Cell availability for your deployment. The device, carrier plan and required data or alert service all need support. A satellite service available on a mobile phone does not establish that an installed tracker or its SOS function is supported. Confirm the proposed setup before relying on it for remote alerts.

A compatible UHF SOS pendant can send to the fitted vehicle receiver within its operating range. That installation then needs a communications path to deliver the alert. For travel beyond the receiver’s range, assess a personal satellite device and its response service separately.

The Iridium expansion is intended for critical location and event messages. Plan video transfer and retrieval separately around the camera system, storage and available bandwidth. An SOS message does not mean a live camera stream is available.

Yes. Review inspection findings and maintenance requests against the asset, then manage repairs through work orders. Service schedules can follow machine hours, distance or dates, with parts and costs available to the maintenance team.
